Our Team

Following the completion of her law and geography degrees at the University of Auckland, Nicola spent over a decade representing parties in the Family Court in the Hawkes Bay and Waikato regions. Nicola also spent time working in personal injury litigation in Canada.

Nicola moved to Ashburton in 2023 and joined the team at RMF Silva where she enjoys working with families on all Family Law issues including care of children and guardianship issues, family violence, Oranga Tamariki cases, relationship property, capacity issues requiring Court proceedings, spousal maintenance, child support and adoptions.

Nicola has had considerable experience in Court. She represents both parents and children in Court proceedings, and is proficient in negotiating out of Court settlements.

Nicola holds approval to take cases on Legal Aid where it is available.
